I Hear Bells

We spent a month in the small town of Fujiyoshida, at the foot of Mount Fuji, where we worked with listening and recording as ways of getting to know a place. Sound - field recordings - became tones and traces of movement, something to respond to with body & voice. We later brought these practices to Stockholm, where we explored how one can be with a place through resonance and dissonance, as both acoustic and relational states. The work enters the city’s hidden sonic spaces ~ signals that call, warn, and connect.

Presented as site-specific performances at Fuji Textile & Art Week, Fujiyoshida, and at Weld, Stockholm.
